When I was preparing for my last exhibition in 2006, I attended a reunion
party with my colleage friends at the Yatsugatake Mountains.
After spending valuable time talking about our college days, I went home.
On my way home, I decided to swing by places where I could closely see
Mt. Fuji, since I had not seen it for decades.
Unexpectedly, I was moved a lot by this celestial, solemn mountain.
As soon as my last exhibition ended, I started going to the foot of Mt.
Fuji at least a few times a month to draw the magnificent mountain.
I was addicted to the beauty of it.
